Thursday Thanks ManKind Project

OK, I am going to reboot the Thursday Thanks category here at the DarkMatter blog. Today I want to thank the Mankind Project (Also known as New Warriors). I went to an MKP weekend here in Chicago back in ’04, and it changed my life for the better. I have learned to look at my own shadow and to make changes in myself. I have been meeting with a small group of men for years, and I recently began staffing the weekends. I have made several close friendships in the group, and I have learned some amazing techniques that have benefited my own personal and spiritual growth, and helped me to be more present and effective with clients. Day by day, I chip away at the crap that prevents me from showing up as fully and powerfully and lovingly as I want to, and I am slowly becoming a better man through the process. MKP started me down the journey of healing and personal growth. Without it, I would probably be divorced, estranged from my daughter, in some dead-end job, or maybe just dead. Thanks in large part to MKP, I am a good dad, I have my own business which I love, I am part of a wonderful community, and I like what I see in the mirror (most days).

    Hey Dave,

I also have done a Mankind weekend, and absolutely loved it. Great experience, so unique and rewarding. Taught be about being congruent, having integrity, and to be willing to consider all possibilities and outcomes with an open mind.

Happy Healthy New Year to you. I hope 2012 is your best year yet and the beginning of ever greater success and satisfaction
